Stone Sculpture
To capture the female and her ‘inner being’ is the motivation behind Jo’s work as well as representing a very personal journey.
Each piece from start to finish is hand made from the initial making of the stone to each unique piece being hand carved from the block.
Her sculptures embody the serenity and beauty and sensuality of the female. Jo’s flowing use of line, the soulful expressions she captures within each piece contribute to making these stunning and unique pieces .
I studied in Sussex gaining a BA Honours in Art & Related Arts and in Oxford where I obtained a Post Graduate in Art and Design Education.I have always searched for creative outlets with which to express my creativity and have always chosen to work with a combination of art and ‘bodywork‘ (fitness and healing art therapies). I have benefited greatly from the opportunities I have had and the combination of the two fields has created a great balance for me throughout my life.
My own artwork, namely my sculptures and life drawings, has been exhibited in established galleries in Australia and New Zealand. Since moving back to the UK in 2009, I have been exhibiting at various Homes and Gardens such as Pashley Manor &  Michelham Priory. In 2010 I exhibited at the RHS Hampton Court, The Fountain Gallery in East Mosely, The Battle Art Fair and the Sculpture Show at Marle Place.
